ToneCraft

To run ToneCraft you need the latest version of Google Chrome.

ToneCraft is our first experiment with the Web Audio API. You compose by putting different colored blocks on a grid in a 3D environment (Minecraft style).

The Y-axis represents the pitch of the tone, the X-axis represents the time and the different colors represent different instruments. The Z-axis makes it possible to layer sounds and to create what ever visual structures you like.

ToneCraft was inspired by André Michelle's ToneMatrix, and we used Mr. doob's three.js library for the graphics.

TrafficJam - Adaptive music on iOS

Our first iOS game! Well, maybe not ready for the App Store just yet, but it shows adaptive music on iOS which was the purpose. The music changes depending on which lane you are driving in, if there is a firetruck on the stage, if you are in banana mode or if you are about to die.

This is the story: drive your toy car to the goal while avoiding crashing into other cars and all the stuff your annoying little siblings throws at you, behind you is the evil vacuum cleaner that eats everything that does not belong on the floor. Collect coins to buy you a cooler ride. Or you can just enjoy crashing into stuff including the letters.

Our interns Andreas Lagerström and Mattias Johansson helped us put together this little experiment.

The Rick Astley Project

TheRickAstleyProject

As a side project Erik made this interactive, Arduino based music remixer together with the talented students of Högskolan Dalarna.

With an Arduino based controller you get to remix Never Gonna Give You Up simply by pushing a bunch of buttons!

Check out the explainatory video by clicking here, or on the pitcture to the right. Give us a shout if you want to try it our for realz!

What is adaptive music?

Turns out normal people doesn't think about these things as often as we do. Who could have guessed?

To give you guys a introduction to what we do (and why) we created a bunch of spiffy videos to demonstrate it. Click the picture to the right to watch them.
